Over the past two weeks, the Crown team joined forces with our building tenants and partnered with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), to bring two meaningful tree planting events to life. Together, we planted 150 native trees and shrubs, restoring a total of 334 m2 of land – enhancing ecological diversity at our properties and within the surrounding communities!
This initiative builds on the momentum we started last year, when we partnered with the City of Mississauga to plant 100 trees at a local park. Inspired by that success, we stepped up our efforts in 2025 by bringing tree planting directly to our properties.

On October 22, we gathered at 2630–2680 Skymark Avenue, where team members and tenants planted 75 native trees and shrubs and restored 225 m² of natural habitat. This initiative strengthened local biodiversity, supported pollinators and wildlife, and furthered our commitment to creating greener, healthier outdoor spaces.

A week later, on October 28, we convened at Heartland Corporate Centre – 100 Milverton Dr., 90 & 110 Matheson Blvd., where another 75 native trees and shrubs found their new home and 109 m² of land was restored. These efforts help establish resilient, vibrant greenspaces that benefit both our properties and the communities we’re proud to be part of.
By selecting native species, we enhance long term sustainability, improving soil health, supporting native fauna, and reinforcing the natural character of the landscapes in and around our properties.
Thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and helped make a lasting impact.
