Crown Property Management Inc. is pleased to announce that 901 King Street West, Toronto has upgraded its LEED certification level from Silver to Gold under the LEED v4.1 Building Operations and Management (O+M): Existing Buildings Rating system. Through the implementation of industry best practices, tenants and building stakeholders were able to collectively contribute to the building’s increase in energy and water efficiency, waste reduction and building performance, as well as facilitate a more environmentally sound transportation system and improvement in the overall building experience and tenant wellness.
Upgrades to the building’s systems and scheduling and through collaboration with its tenants, Crown was able to elevate the 901 King’s overall efficiency while reducing its environmental footprint. Recently, the building underwent a boiler replacement project where the existing lead atmospheric boiler was replaced with a high efficiency condensing boiler. This upgrade not only significantly decreased natural gas consumption, it also reduced greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, the building has been actively enrolled within Toronto Hydro’s OPsaver program which has provided building stakeholders with the tools, resources and expertise to help implement operational efficiencies and improvements.
