Crown’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Commitment: Different is our Difference.
At Crown, we recognize that our greatest asset, our people, bring with them differences that make our team stronger. Crown is committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace that recognizes and values uniqueness. We strive to create a corporate culture that attracts, engages, advances, and retains the highest calibre professionals, while embracing our differences.
Equal opportunity is integral to our recruitment process, as we aim to develop a community of diverse talent. We champion pay equity and mutual respect, promoting an environment of fairness. Crown’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is embedded in our corporate culture, reflected within our Vision, Values, Mission and Code of Conduct. Together with our Manager, People & Culture, Crown’s partners and management staff will further Crown’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy. To help us all become aware of unconscious biases and other barriers in the workplace, Crown is committed to invest in the on-going training and education of its team.
All members of the Crown team proudly accept the responsibility to reinforce our commitment every day, in meeting rooms, boardrooms, worksites, the properties we manage and their surrounding communities. Difference is our difference!
Diversity, equity and inclusion at Crown and in our community
International Women’s Day 2022
On March 8th, 2022 Crown’s staff participated in a motivational fireside chat with industry leader, Natalie Voland, hosted by Emily Hanna and Monica Di Zio of Crown. On International Women’s Day, and every day, we support, empower and celebrate women’s achievements, continue to raise awareness against bias and take action for equality.
Diversity and Inclusion Survey
Crown is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment for all employees. To understand how our organization can do better in building a diverse and inclusive workplace, Crown conducted its first internal Diversity and Inclusion survey in 2021. We are learning from the results and taking steps to build to ensure our workforce is welcoming, inclusive and provides equal opportunity to all.
Giving Back to the Community
2021 marked Crown’s 20th anniversary and although a lot has changed over the past two decades, one thing remains the same – our commitment to the wellbeing of our employees and the communities we live, work and play in. Crown’s fundraising is aligned with four charities selected by the collective efforts of Crown’s ESG Committee: New Circles, Yellow Brick House, CAMH and Eva’s.
