Overview

Following the acquisition of 55 Standish Court in April 2022, Crown leveraged its existing Connect by Crown platform to enhance tenant engagement and elevate day-to-day property management service. Rather than introducing a new tool, the focus was on driving meaningful adoption through consistent activation, tenant-focused programming, and practical integration into the building’s operations. This approach positioned the app as a central hub for communication, amenity access, and community-building within the property.

Strategy

Crown prioritized hands-on, on-site engagement to accelerate adoption and reinforce the value of the platform. In spring 2023, Property Management hosted an in-building adoption event, offering incentives and providing live onboarding support with app representatives to ensure tenants could immediately access and use the app.

The platform was then embedded into the building’s operating model. It became the primary channel for sharing updates, promoting events, and managing amenity access. Tenants used the app to register for high-attendance events such as summer BBQs, winter breakfasts, and fall corn roasts, with the summer BBQ acting as a key driver of adoption. Additional initiatives, including a Blue Jays playoff ticket raffle, further increased engagement.

Beyond events, the app supported everyday tenant experience by enabling bookings for the tenant lounge and registration for weekly fitness programming, including Zumba, Yoga, and Spin classes. This consistent, utility-driven use reinforced the platform’s relevance and encouraged ongoing participation.

Results

Crown’s focused approach to adoption and service integration resulted in sustained growth in engagement at 55 Standish Court. App users increased from 1000 on November 25, 2024 to 2,477 by April 10, 2026, representing approximately 148% growth over two years, with overall adoption reaching approximately 80% of the tenant base.

The platform became an established channel for both communication and service delivery, supporting strong participation in events, consistent amenity usage, and high survey response rates. At 55 Standish Court, Connect by Crown demonstrates how active property management and on-site engagement can translate an existing platform into a high-impact tenant experience tool that strengthens connectivity, responsiveness, and overall satisfaction.
