90 Sheppard wins CREST Award for the second year in a row

2020 race2reduce CREST Award

Crown is proud to announce that 90 Sheppard Avenue East has won the Climate Champion Award for buildings 100,000 sq. ft. to 500,000 sq. ft. at BOMA Toronto’s 2021 race2reduce CREST awards for sustainability, which took place on September 16th, 2021. This is the second year in a row that 90 Sheppard Avenue has won this award, which is a true testament of Crown’s commitment to creating healthy and sustainable office buildings.

The Climate Champion Award recognizes a building that has demonstrated exemplary effort to reduce emission from the building or business operation. Buildings are assessed on emission intensity, commitment to CSG (policies, programs, and business practices), tenant and employee engagement, and community action.

At this year’s CREST Awards, 180 Dundas Street West was also recognized as a Collaborative Excellence Honourable Mention Finalist for Fit Squad’s 3,000 sq. ft. gym located on the roof of the building’s parking structure. Through a joint effort Crown and Fit Squad came up with a unique solution that allowed the gym to run while meeting COVID 19 guidelines. The result – Toronto’s first open-air, rooftop fitness facility, which provides a unique fitness experience and great views of the city. Learn more.
