1004 Middlegate Road Earns BOMA 360 Performance Building Designation

1004 Middlegate Road, Mississauga has earned the distinguished BOMA 360 Performance Building designation from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International. The BOMA 360 Performance Program® recognizes and certifies commercial properties that demonstrate best practices in building operations and management. At Crown we are committed to delivering best-in-class services and professionally managed building facilities to our tenants. The BOMA 360 Performance Program provides the opportunity to demonstrate and validate our commitment.

“The BOMA 360 Performance Building certification is a distinguishing award that provides recognition of the hard work, creativity and resources our team has put into the complex,” says Fernanda Grist, General Manager at 1004 Middlegate Road.

1004 Middlegate is a 262,029 square foot office campus that is home to over 1,600 professionals from globally recognized companies such as AstraZeneca Canada and EllisDon. This state-of-the art office is WiredScore Platinum and Energy Star certified and recently received Fitwel certification as well, a testament to the health and wellness initiatives enacted at the property. 2020 was 1004 Middlegate’s inaugural year reporting to GRESB. The campus features a soaring, sun-fill atrium that connects the converted flex space and office tower to on-site amenities like collaboration areas, conference and event space, a WorkFit by Crown fitness centre, outdoor terraces and green space for tenant use.

1004 Middlegate is the fourth Crown property to be honoured with this distinction. 2233 Argentia Road, Mississauga became the first BOMA 360 Certified property in Ontario outside of Toronto’s downtown core and in 2020 101 McNabb Street, Markham and 90 Sheppard Avenue East, North York received the same credit.

“Within our building communities, we seek new and creative ways to implement sustainability programs and other community and wellness initiatives. Our tenants and owners deserve best-in-class service and a superbly managed building,” added Janbee Monsod, Director, Property Management.

The esteemed BOMA 360 Performance Program evaluates properties in six major areas: building operations and management; life safety/security/risk management; training and education of building personnel; energy management; environmental/sustainability performance; and tenant relations and community involvement. The program takes a holistic approach to evaluating a building’s operations and management and benchmarks building performance against industry standards. For more information, visit www.boma.org/360.
