#KeepTorontoWarm: Crown’s 2021 Clothing Drive

In 2021, Crown set out on a mission to make a substantial contribution to four charities that are dedicated to helping our neighbours and friends in need – Eva’s Initiatives for Homeless Youth, New Circles Community Services, Yellow Brick House and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Foundation.

With a critical shortage of donations and more people in need due to COVID-19, New Circles issued an urgent call for coats, boots and warm winter accessories for all ages. Over the months of October and November, Crown hosted an annual Clothing Drive across all properties. Crown collects clothing for a holiday drive each year, but we have found ourselves especially inspired to support our local communities in a time when people have been struggling most. Through our clothing drive and fundraising efforts, our team was able to collect and donate over 7,000 lbs of clothing and $11,700 to New Circles,  in support of newcomers and those living in poverty.

Through the generous support of our employees, the local GTA and Ottawa brokerage communities and vendors we work with, we are proud to have surpassed our donation goal of $40,000, which will help the underprivileged within our communities. Together, we supported these important causes and organizations who, every day, make a difference in the lives of those who need them the most.

If you are interested in getting more involved in Crown’s community giving program, please express your interest.
