Crown is pleased to announce that 101 McNabb Street, Markham has been awarded an Outstanding Building of the Year at the National (TOBY®) Awards in the Renovated Building category. The Toby is one of the most prestigious and comprehensive programs of its kind in the commercial real estate industry recognizing quality in commercial real estate buildings and rewarding excellence in building management. During the competition, all facets of a building’s operations are thoroughly evaluated and entries are judged on topics from community involvement to environmental and sustainability management.
101 McNabb is home to approximately 3,000 professionals from TD Bank and General Motors Canada. The award-winning campus has previously been honoured with several other industry awards and accomplishments since OPTrust acquired the building in 2014 and Crown Property Management Inc took over the large-scale repositioning and releasing that same year. The judging for this award is based on building standards, community impact, tenant relations, energy conservation, environmental, regulatory and sustainability, emergency preparedness & security standards and the training of building personnel.
“This is a significant victory for Crown and OPTrust and is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our teams, putting suburban office campuses like 101 McNabb Street on the map as leading locations of Canadian real estate,” said Les Miller, Managing Partner, Crown Realty Partners. “Awards like these are a direct result of committed management, so we congratulate Janbee Monsod, her team and the broader Crown team, on being named one of the best in the nation.”
